The Tournefort chair originated in the French village of the same name. The village is located in the French Alps and for most of its existence belonged to the Knights. This slat back chair displays molded, cartouche shaped back and cabriole legs often used in mid-18th century France. It also employs a completing side stretcher, giving it sturdy character and vigor. Standard with a rush seat. If purchased this way, we recommend a seat cushion be used over the rush. Other finishes and modifications available. Please inquire for customization.
